Three decades in the insurance industry have given Tina Taylor first-hand knowledge of the importance of having a thorough record of the contents that are located in a home and business. She has seen the devastation a policyholder faces when they have a catastrophic loss.
Tina realizes that many people are extremely busy, and others just don’t want to take on the tedious task of documenting their personal property. Having an inventory of one’s belongings can be a lifesaver to a family should they have a claim that requires them to remember and provide a list of all of their contents. Her goal is to help people prepare in case of a loss, which will reduce the stress and frustration during the recovery time.
This knowledge of the difficulty people face was gained from a variety of perspectives. After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Tina entered the insurance industry. She has 18 years of claims experience while employed at Allstate and Encompass Insurance Companies. Tina has also been a licensed sales agent for 15 years with a focus on property, casualty, and life insurance sales. She is currently employed part-time with an Allstate agency in Alpharetta, Georgia, where she assists with customer service and retention for the agency.
Loving the opportunity to own her own business, she created Home & Business Inventory Consultants (HBIC). This business model fits her need for part-time entrepreneurship while she continues to work part-time. Looking to the future, her goal is to provide this service well into retirement years along with her husband Richard. Eventually, she will pass HBIC on to her children.
Tina enjoys the variety of needs her service can fill. Her exposure to many different disasters brought this to her attention, and she has since found there is a multitude of other life events that require documentation of one’s assets, such as separation of assets/divorce, prenuptials, and estates. Additional purposes of an inventory for small businesses include asset tracking, budgeting, preventing duplicate purchases, and preparing for buy/sell/merger/acquisition transactions.
Tina has been a resident of Georgia since 1988. Residing in Alpharetta, she and her husband Richard Taylor have two daughters, Lindsey and Erin, and a cat, Dolly.
Tina has achieved her Certified Inventory Specialist designation through the National Inventory Certification Association. Home & Business Inventory Consultants is bonded and insured, providing inventory services for homeowners, renters, business owners, farms, and storage units in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia.
